Jagger is a third-year medical student at Drexel University College of Medicine with a strong interest in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His academic interests center on advancing the field through clinical research, innovation, and emerging technologies, with a particular focus on peripheral nerve surgery, reconstructive outcomes, and the integration of artificial intelligence into surgical practice. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented research at national meetings, reflecting his commitment to evidence-based medicine and scholarly collaboration. Alongside his clinical training, Jagger is passionate about medical education, mentorship, and developing tools that improve learning and research efficiency for physicians and trainees. Through PlasticsPulse, he aims to create a platform that shares high-quality educational resources, highlights advances in plastic surgery, and fosters collaboration among students, residents, and surgeons dedicated to improving patient care.
Nicholas Ranellone

Nicholas is a third-year medical student at Drexel University College of Medicine with a strong interest in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His academic interests center on breast reconstruction, surgical robotics, and the integration of artificial intelligence into surgical practice. He is particularly interested in leveraging emerging technologies to advance surgical education, improve clinical decision-making, and optimize patient outcomes. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts, contributed scholarly work on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in plastic surgery, and presented his research at national plastic surgery conferences, reflecting his commitment to innovation and evidence-based medicine. His research focuses on reconstructive outcomes, surgical innovation, and the application of emerging technologies within plastic surgery. As the co-founder of PlasticsPulse, Nicholas is committed to expanding access to high-quality educational resources for medical students interested in plastic surgery, particularly those without a home program. Through the platform, he aims to foster mentorship, collaboration, and professional development while highlighting advances in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Why we built this
PlasticsPulse is the resource we wished we’d had. One place where everything you need to match integrated plastic surgery is gathered, current, and cited. The information is otherwise scattered across society sites, spreadsheets, and PDFs, and figuring out what you don’t even know to look for can eat up a whole year.
We’re two medical students at Drexel University College of Medicine, building it as we go. Without a home plastic surgery program, we had to piece the path together ourselves, so now we’re turning that work into something the next student doesn’t have to repeat.
Every number here traces to the NRMP, AAMC, ACEPS, or a peer-reviewed paper, cited where it’s shown. Nothing is guessed. Where a date isn’t published, we say so instead of inventing one, and we keep the whole thing fast and out of your way.
